Canon EOS Rebel T3i 18 MP CMOS Digital SLR Camera and DIGIC 4 Imaging with EF-S 18-55mm f/3.5-5.6 IS Lens,5.0 out of 5 stars Upgraded from Canon Digital Rebel xSi, December 8, 2011

Canon EOS Rebel T3i 18 MP CMOS Digital SLR Camera and DIGIC 4 Imaging with EF-S 18-55mm f/3.5-5.6 IS LensI bought the t3i body because I wanted the ability to shoot video, but didn't want to have to pay for new lenses. I had owned the Rebel xSi for a few years and was able to attach the kit lens and 50mm lens to the new t3i without any problems. It gets the same incredible quality shots as my old camera, but now I can watch them move as well! My old SD cards worked fine for stills, but I did have to buy a larger capacity, faster card for shooting video. The PNY 16GB Class 10 card was my choice and it worked so well, I bought two more. The xSi takes a different battery than the t3i as well, but I still saved money not having to pay for another lens. I have owned many video cameras over the years, and nothing gets as nice a picture as the t3i. Having all the manual controls and focus options of a still camera has made all the difference.
