I decided to buy this camera after reading reviews here and on other sites. To paraphrase most reviews said the camera is a basic no frills package that takes great pics and allows a beginner to expand there skills beyond point and shoot. I can't agree more the pics are excellent right out of the box in Auto Mode.
Our daughter moved from shooting in Auto Mode to Basic Photo Mode within minutes and the pics are excellent. The instruction manual is pretty good to get started, but she plans on taking a local SLR course to move on to the next level of shooting
All in all a great SLR for the money, As a matter of fact I'm so impressed I plan on buying one for myself
