I am still learning how to use this camera's many capabilities, but after a month of fairly intensive use I love it.I recently switched to Canon after a lifetime of using Olympus products. I've never wanted the size and bulk of the top-end professional models but I need a sturdy, reliable camera and superb metering under a wide range of conditions.
This camera is outstanding. I've shot in a wide range of conditions (back-lit, sunsets, dark, daylight, indoors) and the metering is flawless. The operation is very smooth.
Considering the very wide range of the zoom (18-135mm, the equivalent of about 28-200mm in a "normal" SLR), the optical quality is very good.
Other outstanding features of the camera: large and very clear rotating screen, very clear viewfinder, good flash. If you need real SLR capability, this is an excellent choice.
