The Canon 55-250mm lens which I also purchased at Amazon in the same order worked the first day I used the camera but failed to work on the next day when I was on Safari in the Masai Mara of Kenya and consequently I missed many photo opportunities.
When I returned home I contacted Canon support and after trying to rectify the problem with the lens over the phone with them I had to return the lens to them for repair.
I am currently waiting for the results of that repair and having the lens repaired and returned to me.
Needless to say I am disappointed with the failure of the the brand new lens.
