Bought this model for my wife for Christmas. Out of the box had problems with keeping battery charged. Also, could not access the menu or get any displays on the screen. Called Canon support, by the way was very good, after a few words the support person said it had a problem. The way the support person knew of this problem, sounded to me this was a common failure. Was recommended to send it back. Now I have questions as to whether to purchase a Canon if the quality assurance at Canon is performing their jobs. Review by Bevin A. Brush
