I have read several reviews stating this camera is "great for beginners" Huh? A low end Rebel is great for beginners. Sure, this camera can be used by beginners with no problem. Switch it to Auto, and off you go! What determines a cameras professional level is the human standing behind it. I can take Canons top of the line camera and snap a photo that looks like crap. That being said, this camera is for people that want to use it! It is solid, well built, reasonably priced, and VERY capable of professional results with photos and videos.
Try it out at your local camera store. If you like it, buy it through Amazon. You can't go wrong.
