I had a Samsung point-and-shoot (my third one) and decided after playing with shutter speeds, ISO, and flash, it was time to step it up a notch. After about 3 months of research, I found this brand new for $400, one of the cheapest for its range. I opened the box knowing it was a name brand and started shooting right away. I wasn't impressed at all and knew my Samsung could do better with this. After playing with it for a while I figured out it was the built in flash...it didn't work very well. So I went outside to see how natural light did. 10x better than my Samsung. I was blown away. I decided to go out and buy a flash and stick it on there. It fixed the problem but its still a bit bright (photoshop the brightness out). Overall, this is a great camera, and would have given it 4 stars if the flash had worked better.
