I bought my 60D last November 2010 through Amazon!!! I love love amazon!!! Anyways, almost all the things I wanted to say has been said. I have a rebel xt and for some reason, it wasn't as user-friendly as I thought it would be. I didn't like that the monitor is too small and that I can't use it as viewfinder. So, after months of research, I decided to go with 60D (instead of the 7D) and I have been using it since.
What I like most about my 60D is that it has an awesome swiveling monitor, weird angles are not a problem anymore. Also, I like that it uses an SD card vs rebel's CF card. So far, that's all I can think of...
It really is an upgrade and I shouldn't be comparing the two but the lack of some of the key features in my rebel xt led me into getting my 60D.
