Nikon D3000 10.2MP Digital SLR Camera with 18-55mm f/3.5-5.6G AF-S DX VR Nikkor Zoom LensThe D3000 is a decent camera; If your looking for a camera to take photos in lots of light and mainly use outside then the D3000 will work well for ya. In the camera's defence, it is considered a beginers camera. I listed some things I didn't like while using this camera.

1.)If your ISO is set any highier than 1000 the picture quality starts to diminish. In other
words photos are noisy/grainy at ISO's higher than 1000

2.)Somtimes the auto focus hunts and will not allow you to take the picture. (might
have been my camera, or just user error.)

3.)Has small buffer, Meaning after 3 or 4 consecutive shots take a long time for the photo's to write to the media card.(this may improve with a media card with high write speeds)

4.)I didn't care for the user interface with the camera. It seemed like I had to go through alot of steps to change WB, ISO and shutter speed.

when I first started using this camera I thought I would like the info button, which is supposed to explain what some of the features do. However I found it to bring up more questions than it answered. (bottom line here is, you still need to purchase a manuel to better understand how WB,ISO, Metering and exposure truely effect a shot!)

On a positive note the camera works great in Auto mode and the preset functions work quite well. The camera takes Excellent photos in daylight and in well lit situations. I hope this helps and happy hunting.
