I'm not going to go technical with this review, there are already many detailed reviews on this product. I'm going to give my personal opinion on this camera as a first-time dslr. I've owned 2 35mm film SLR's in the past and I've always enjoyed photography as a hobby. but this is my first Digital SLR and I must say I fell in love with it. It's easy to use and allows you to take excellent photos. I use this camera for everything now, I don't own a point and shoot anymore. All I want to say is that if you're an enthusiast and are looking to step up from a point and shoot, this is probably your best bet. you'll be amazed at the low light capabilities of this baby. Of course nothing close to professional models like the 5D, but with a 50mm 1.8f prime lens you'll get amazing results. I own 3 lenses, the stock 18-55, the prime 1.8f 50mm and the 55-250. get all three and you'll have a great complete kit.
