I purchased the Canon T1i in May, 2009. Thirty thousand images later, the camera is still going strong. I have the original kit lens, and sometimes put an extension tube on it for use in obtaining closeups of flowers and insects. Currently I have the camera paired with the Canon 70-200 L f4 IS USM lens, and 1.4x teleconverter, and I am extremely pleased with my image quality. I am considering the purchase of a Canon 7D camera, with the new enhanced focus abilities, but will certainly continue to carry this camera in the field for a long time to come.
