First and foremost if you're looking for a consumer grade camera capable of shooting high quality images, I would not recommend this camera. Quality cameras can be had for less.The camera has great focus, its very very fast at 10 frames per seconds, great for shooting your child's sporting activities. The camera also has good noise control when shooting in low light!
If you're looking for a quality camera in the rangefinder class, consier the Fujifilm X10 or the Sony NEX-5N which are in the same class, lower price, and similar features if not more.
