I bought this product during 2010 thanksgiving and took the product back with me to India. The product literally blow up on me after I saw smoke coming out of the camera - after approximately a year of use. I switched the camera off and took the same to a local Canon care service center. They say that the flash unit / part needs to replaced - cost USD 120. So much for the quality of the product - sucks. And now, because of no international warranty, I have to get the same repaired at my expense and hope I do not get smoked again.

So, all of you who gave this product, BEWARE. I do not believe this product is designed to be extensively used outside the US. Just to keep all you out there informed - I have used such brands w/o such issues. So be careful.
